In my last post, I wrote about buying a Canon 24-105mm f4L to take as my walk-around lens in New York later this year. I've since changed my mind. Again!
My daughter asked me to shoot her engagement party back in January. She wanted full body shots so my 70-200mm f2.8L was out of the question. I wanted to give my newly-purchased but not-properly-tested 24-105mm a run for its money but not at the expense of her party, so decided to use my 24-70mm 2.8L (that I had been trying to sell). I was so surprised and impressed with the image quality (see below), I have now decided to keep the 24-70mm and sell the 24-105mm.
I know what you're thinking LOL But it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind once or twice, right?

The clarity the 24-70mm lens produces is lovely. And the extra light of the f2.8 compared to the 24-105mm's f4 will come in handy, particularly when taking tripodless night shots in New York.
I don't suppose you want to buy a 24-105mm f4L ;-)
