I had my first real shoot with my new 5D Mark II. I paired it with a Canon 100mm macro lens and headed to Jenkin's Reserve Dog Park.
I had so much fun watching the dogs running free (within a large confined yard). They ran amok and played and chased and jumped and wrestled.
I shot on manual for a while but the dogs were all moving so quickly, in and out of shadows, jumping and running, that I flicked to auto. It enabled me to catch shots that I otherwise would have missed because I'd have been too busy changing settings. I'd rather shoot on manual - auto shooting is cheating :-)
I posted quite a few of my shots on the Jenkin's Reserve Dog Park's Facebook page. I've already sold two of the images. I'm really looking foward to heading back to the park and, going by the response of the dogs' owners, I think they are, too.
