I went to Lower Light yesterday to watch Scott, my favourite son-in-law, do his first tandem parachute jump. My family had paid for the jump as his 21st birthday present. He was very excited and we were all feeling it, too.
I was shooting on Av but wasn't very happy with the overly-pink skin tones that resulted. I've been able to fix most of it in post-processing but will make a mental note to watch out for it next time.
There are a lot of almond trees between my place and just about everywhere else. I can't drive anywhere without going past orchards of these leafless trees. But in the past week or so the blossoms have appeared and I couldn't resist a few quick snaps.
I went for a quick walk around my garden today, looking for something interesting to shoot in the limited time I had. I don't think lavender is a particularly attractive plant but things often look different through a lens. (One of the reasons I love photography.)
